Suzaku

Suzaku is a red phoenix god and also the protector of the country of Konan.

• Miaka Yūki (夕城美朱 Yūki Miaka) is an ordinary high school girl with a tremendous appetite. Unlike her bestfriend Yui, she's generous and cares greatly for others. She became the priestess of Suzaku, or the Suzaku no Miko.

• Tamahome (鬼宿) is first portrayed the money-loving guy who kicks bad guys just for money. But later the story revealed that he only likes money because of a special reason. He later fell in love with Miaka.

• Hotohori (星宿) is the beautiful narcissive emperor of Konan. At young age, when he first heard about the Suzaku no Miko, he thought that maybe the priestess would be the one for him. And eventually, when he met Miaka, he loved her deeply and will do anything for her. And thus, he became Tamahome's rival.

• Tasuki (翼宿) is a noisy, potty-mouthed, woman-hater (except for Miaka), pyromaniac leader of Mt. Leikaku bandits. He's the most funny guy in the series and also the sentimental one.

• Chichiri (井宿) is a blue haired monk. He wears a masked in his first appearance to hide his scar. He is the oldest among all the Suzaku's warriors.

• Nuriko (柳宿) he first appear pretending as Kourin in the Emperor's chamber, which is actually Nuriko's late-sister. The only gay, physically strong warrior in the series (except for the part where Hotohori dressed as a woman, who acted so into being a gay/woman, to lure the bandits.) who's very infatuated with his fellow warrior, Hotohori. Later, it was revealed that he also has an affection with Miaka. He's the first Suzaku warrior died in the story.

• Mitsukake (軫宿) is the healer of Suzaku's warriors. A soft-spoken warrior and the most serious one.

• Chiriko (張宿) The youngest and the genius among the seven seishi. An extremely intelligent child who is a little attached with Tasuki.

Seiryū

Seiryū is the blue dragon, protector of the country of Kutou.

• Yui Hongo a very intelligent lady and best friend of Miaka. A tragic event, setted-up by Nakago, occured to her which changed her feelings towards her bestfriend. She later became the Priestess of Seiryū, or Seiryū No Miko, under the hands of Nakago.

  • Age: 15
  • Height: 162 cm

• Nakago is considered to be the ringleader of all the Seiryu warriors, his cold demeanor and presence are often the drive behind Yui's decisions during the early story stages. He's also the blonde haired, blue eyed shogun of Kutou, the eastern country and enemy of Konan. All of the Seiryū fear him. His life force is superior to all of the Suzaku warriors combined. When he was younger, he accidentally killed his mother and her assaulter, due to uncontrollable powers. The Emperor of Kutou learned that he was one of the Seiryū's seishi, hence he became the Kutou's general. His marked on his forehead means 'Heart' which is oddly enough since he was the only warrior who hates everyone (except for Soi).

• Soi
  • Real Name: Haku Kaen
  • Date Of Birth: 30 October
  • Age: 19
  • Height: 170 cm
  • Weapons / Powers: Able to manipulate lightning and electricity and weather. Also a master of many sexual techniques.
  • Characteristics: Doesn't speak up when she knows something is wrong, cares very much for Nakago and will do anything for him.

• Miboshi
  • Real Name: Unknown
  • Date Of Birth: 04 December
  • Age: Unkown
  • Height: Unknown
  • Weapons / Powers: Can enter peoples bodies and take over, also can summon monsters
  • Chracteristics: Very evil

• Amiboshi (The twin brother of Suboshi, his disappearance during 1st season drove Suboshi insane.)
  • Real Name: Bu Koutoku
  • Date Of Birth: 26 August
  • Age: 15
  • Height: 168 cm
  • Weapons / Powers: Able to focus his chi through his mouth using his flute
  • Characteristics: Doesn't like war
• Suboshi
  • Real Name: Bu Shunkaku
  • Date Of Birth: 26 August
  • Age: 15

  • Weapons / Powers: Telekenisis, uses his Ryuuseisui
  • Charateristics: Only gets part of a story before retaliating, in love with Yui. Insane

• Ashitare is a half-wolf, half-human beast from Hokkan whom Nakago found in a circus tent. Nakago later killed him after being half-killed by Nuriko.

• Tomo is an illusionist among the seven seishi of Seiryū.
